# Variation Warnings

> What the red banner means when work exceeds agreed quantity.

If the work you enter goes past the agreed quantity, the app may show a variation caution (red banner) and ask you to confirm. That means part of the quantity is treated as variation work. Your Administrator can explain how your firm handles variations commercially.
