# Create and Submit a Docket

> Step-by-step, for any role.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Start a docket">
    From **Create Docket** on a contract, from **Dockets / My Dockets**, or from **Overview** (Field Technicians).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm client and contract">
    Sometimes locked if you started from a contract.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select work items">
    The ones done on this visit → **Continue**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter Worked quantities">
    Hours for hourly items; some billing types fill a fixed quantity for you.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add notes / plans">
    If needed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter signature">
    Client representative name and signature.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Finish">
    **Save as Draft** or **Sign Off / Submit**.
  </Step>
